Privacy policy

This policy covers the website egsinfrastudio.com and the EGS IS application (“EGS IS”, “we”, “us”). We follow the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020) and, for visitors from other countries, the same principles: collect only what we need, use it only for the reason we collected it, and keep it only as long as needed.

1. What we collect

We do not collect your models, drawings or project files. They stay on your PC. The application does not send usage tracking.

2. Rate limiting and abuse protection

To stop automated abuse of the request form, the website keeps a salted, one-way hash of your IP address and email for a short time (up to two days). The address itself is not stored.

3. Where it is kept and who helps us

• Cloudflare hosts the website and stores licence requests until our team collects them.
• Email providers deliver our emails to you and yours to us.
• Once collected, requests and issued licences are kept in our own records on the team's computers.

These providers may process data outside Egypt. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes. We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. How long we keep it

• A licence request on the website: deleted from the website 30 days after our team has collected it.
• Licence records (who received which licence, for which PC and period): for the life of the licence and afterwards as long as tax and accounting law requires.
• Feedback and emails: as long as needed to handle them, then deleted or kept only as part of a support record.

5. Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, delete it (unless the law requires us to keep it), or stop using it for a purpose. Write to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days. You may also complain to the Personal Data Protection Center in Egypt.

6. Security

The website is served only over HTTPS. Administrative access to stored requests needs a long secret token. Licence files are signed so they cannot be changed. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you and the authority as the law requires.

7. Cookies

The website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. Important changes are announced on the website.
